How to get €2,500 towards your salon website and marketing

As a salon or clinic owner (that is in business for a minimum of 6 months with 10 or less employees), you can apply for up to 50% funding to a maximum of €2500. 

This can be used towards your new website, salon app, or online shop. You can also add social media, photography and salon content shoot packages to this grant. 

The Trading Online Voucher Scheme provides 50% funding towards your salon website and social media marketing, making it more accessible than every for you to have an online presence. 

Funding is available up to €2,500 towards a website, marketing or an online shop.

If you have availed of the grant before, you can apply for a second one up to a maximum funding of €2500. 

It is very important to invest in your digital or “online” salon as much as you have or will spend on your physical brick-and-mortar location. Your online presence of a  “Virtual Salon Window” is the new Google. Many people will find your business on Instagram or Facebook before they look you up on Google. First impressions count, so put your best foot forward on your social media accounts. 


Your business may be eligible to apply for this grant under the following criteria: 

  • Limited or no e-commerce presence.

  • 10 or fewer employees.

  • Turnover less than €2m;

  • Applicant business must be trading for at least 6 months*.

  • Your business must be located in the area covered by the LEO to whom they make their application i.e. LEOs cannot accept applications from businesses located outside their jurisdiction.

  • Completed an online trading voucher seminar within the last 9 months

  • Previous voucher recipients may apply for a second voucher

*The applicant business must provide clear proof of trading for a minimum of 6 months to their

How to apply for this grant? 

When you have confirmed that your Salon satisfies the criteria listed above you need to take the next 3 steps.

Step 1: Register and attend the information webinar with your Local Enterprise Office.

Step 2: Decide on your goals and how you want to use the grant funds. 

Step 3: Get 3 supplier quotes.

Step 1: Registering for the webinar

You must register and attend a 1-2 hour  webinar (usually online) on how to use and get the best value for money from the voucher.  

This is mandatory before you can write and submit your grant application. You must attend an information seminar in the same location as your business trades. You can find out when the next seminar is due to be held by looking at the events area of your local LEO office. 

Step 2: Decide how to use the grand funds

The webinar that you must attend will provide you with ideas on how you can use the grant and what services can be used towards the grant.

Some of the ways you can use the voucher grand include branding, logo design, a website (new website or website upgrades), photography, or a salon content shoot. SEO, an online shop, an online booking system, subscriptions, or paid advertising.

Step 3: Getting supplier quotes
You need to get 3 quotes from your potential suppliers for your online project and these should include their details and VAT number.
